This is my go-to, morning detox tea blend. It contains 3 superstar ingredients which work synergistically to create a cleansing, nourishing and protective herbal tea that supports your overall energy and vitality.
You can have this tea at any time of day, but I particularly like to have it in the morning. This is because the body is actively eliminating waste materials and toxins between 4am-noon (known as the elimination cycle). So by drinking this tea then, you’re supporting the bodies natural detoxification process!
You can easily buy all of these ingredients online – I myself enjoy foraging for wild foods, so I collected the young nettle leave tops during Spring and dehydrated them. If you’re interested in doing this yourself, always do your research first.

Why You’ll Love This Tea

How to Make This Tea
Please see the recipe card at the bottom of this post for the full recipe details.
- Measure out the ingredients. Using a measuring cup, add 1 cup of the nettle leaves, 1 cup of the hibiscus flowers, and 1/2 cup of cistus incanus leaves into a bowl and mix with a spoon. Done!
- Brew a tea! For one cup of tea add 1/2 tbsp – 1 tbsp of the dried tea blend into a tea strainer or a loose-leaf teapot. Cover the tea blend with boiled water and allow it to infuse for up to 5 minutes for the best taste, you can infuse it for longer for a stronger effect.
- Optionally sweeten. If you wish you can add some sugar or honey to sweeten the tea, as it does taste quite astringent and tart.
